trophy Canadian Moose
Because the area is so large and remote some of these giants live and die here without ever seeing people. We have a very healthy population with some great genetics.
Moose hunts start the tenth of September. We hunt moose several different ways depending on how you want to hunt and what time of year it is. If you want more than one species I recommend a horseback hunt. If you want a more relaxed experience or horses aren't for you, a remote lake hunt or jet boat hunt on the river are both excellent ways to harvest mature Bulls. We only sell lake and river hunts during the rut to increase success rate.
All moose hunts are either done out of heated wall tents or cabins.
Mountain Goat
Mountain Goat hunts are the definition of an "extreme" hunt. They live in some of the most inhospitable country in North America and the areas We hunt are no exception. Finding them is usually never the problem. Getting to them is where the challenges start.
You will ride the horses into the goat country where we will set up a heated wall tent and use that as a base camp. From there we will use the horses until we find a good billy and then head up on foot. It's extremely important to prepare for these hunts both mentally and physically. Proper mountain boots and rain gear are essential! Also, because we highly advise on full body mounts on goats, (they make a very impressive mount) a good quality pack to help pack your trophy off the mountain is very much appreciated by your guide.
Spring Black Bear*
Spring bear hunts take place starting the end of May and run until the end of June. Hunts are five full hunting days. We run the hunts out of a wall tent camp set up on a lake. It is not un/common to see over ten to fifteen bears a day with 100% shot opportunity. There is also the opportunity for a second bear on a harvest fee. This is a great hunt to bring a child or spouse on. It’s a great opportunity for hunters of all capabilities. Usually we drive logging roads looking for bears out eating the new grass beside the road or in cut blocks. Once a bear is located it turns into a spot and stalk hunt.
Hunters are picked up in Prince George, BC and drove into the area.
